SK Most company Stroy-Trest built the bridge, which connects the mainland’s Khabarovsk region to Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island and on to China.

The total length of the project including the approaches is 5.1km, and the channel crossing is 957m long. Construction began in October 2011.

Deck-launching operations for the box-shaped continuous span structure were completed in September. The final phase consisting of launching a 210m-long section was challenging because of flood conditions in the Amur River. The contractor then lowered the structure on the permanent piers.
