The main structure of a wooden arch bridge with a 75.5m span has been completed in eastern China. The bridge is due for completion in October.
Wuhan-based China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance & Design Institute designed the single-span bridge over the Xujiang River Ancient Canal of eastern China’s Suzhou.
The structure is claimed to have the longest single span of any wooden arch bridge worldwide.
