On Tuesday morning residents of Shropshire in the West Midlands of England awoke to a new 55m foot and cycle bridge over the A5 road. The 68t structure was installed by one of the country’s largest cranes under the supervision of Beaver Bridges, which also manufactured and delivered the bridge.

The bridge links the town to the new Oswestry Innovation Park, which is intended to provide space for local employers. The crossing will open in spring 2024 once landscaping, drainage and ramps have been completed. It is part of Shropshire Council’s improvements to the Mile End junction.
