International modular steel bridge supplier Acrow will be supporting local engineers in the west African republic of Angola to assemble, install and maintain 186 of its structures.
Acrow and the Angola ministry of finance made the arrangements for the supply of the structures at the US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas.
Acrow is supplying the bridges under its Bridge Development Program model. This gives access to global sources of financing for bridge projects. It says that its steel bridges are cost-effective as permanent structures and can be transported even to remote sites for quick assembly using local labour and minimal heavy equipment.
