The bridge's two A-shaped towers will combine traditional Thai and contemporary design. They will provide a symbolic gesture of welcome to visitors by giving a stylized representation of a traditional Thai greeting that includes steepling the hands are together.

The deck superstructure consists of a pair of steel edge girders and floor beams at 4m spacing. Precast concrete deck and cast-in-place strips will be made composite to the steel frame. The design uses counterweight concrete to balance the bridge, in order to eliminate tie-down devices completely.

Design was by Parsons Brinckerhoff, which will also be providing construction supervision and technical support services. The contractor is CH Karnchang.

Completion is scheduled for 2007.
