Planners have approved the design of the replacement for a bridge which was damaged three years ago by floods in the seaside town of Bocastle in south east England.
Design of the bridge has been fine tuned over a period of months to ensure the bridge is sympathetic with its surroundings. Approval of the bridge design enables the Environment Agency to press ahead with a flood defence scheme for the town.
