The three ring-shaped towers support the 2km structure over the Illi River and wetlands between Yining Park and Qapqal County in northwest China. It links regional hubs including Korgas, Yining, Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County and Zhaosu County.

The bridge was constructed by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co (CRHIC) and is designed for motor traffic moving at speeds of up to 60km/h.
