BMD Constructions will work with Seqwater on the construction of the bridge, which is designed to be more flood resilient than the existing structure.

Mount Crosby Weir Bridge

The existing 96-year-old single-lane Weir Bridge, currently connecting the suburbs of Kholo and Mount Crosby across the Brisbane River, will be repurposed and converted into a pedestrian and cyclist pathway positioned alongside the new dual-lane vehicle bridge.

This multi-million-dollar project is part of the East Bank flood resilience programme, which is designed to improve flood resilience and connectivity within the area.
