A consortium of Sacyr and Esgamo has won a US$243 million contract to build the new Pumarejo Bridge over the River Magdalena in Colombia.
The tender drew three bids from corsortia including businesses from Colombia, Spain, Chile, Mexico and Italy.
The winning SES Puente Magdalena consortium is made up two Sacyr companies - which together have a 70% stake - and Esgamo Ingeniería Constructores.
The main bridge will be 2.25km long and there will be 990m of access viaducts.
Construction is scheduled to take three years.
