A joint venture of Gamuda (70%) and Dong-Pi Construction (30%) has been appointed by state-owned petroleum, natural gas, and gasoline company CPC Corporation Taiwan.

The scope of works involves the construction of a 1.23 km marine bridge connecting the LNG receiving terminal to a man-made island. The connection will be made up of a 946m-long, 21.5m-wide box girder bridge and a 284m length of road embankment.

The contract sum is US$128 million and the work is due for completion by November 2022.
