A joint venture between Takashi Niwa Architects, Chodai Kiso-Jiban VietNam, Chodai and NH Village Architects had been named earlier this year as the winner of the design competition for the Tran Hung Dao Bridge.
The winning proposal has now been officially approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee.
The bridge is designed to become the landmark that will connect old and new areas of the city. The 900m-long bridge will have six spans and will carry two lanes of traffic as well as pedestrians and cyclists.
The aim is to complete the project in the second quarter of 2025.
