The bridge crosses Little Bay in the town of Newington and city of Dover in the US state of New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will present the project’s impact on environmental resources and accept comments on the draft supplemental environmental impact statement at a public hearing this week, held virtually.
Although the bridge no longer carries vehicular traffic, it still provides a connection for pedestrians and bicyclists. As part of the Spaulding Turnpike Newington-Dover Project, NHDOT is evaluating options for rehabilitation or replacement.
