Dublin City Council is advertising for pre-qualification submissions for the Marlborough Street Public Transport Priority Bridge. The single-span concrete bridge in the Irish capital will carry public transport, including a light rail line, over the River Liffey.

The bridge is described as having an elegant, contemporary design. It will be a slender, single span, smooth concrete structure, with the underside designed to be as high above the water as possible so that river traffic is not impeded.

Contractors have until 15 May to submit pre-qualification submissions for the US$10.6 million to US$16 million project.

Invitations to tender will be dispatched on 1 July.
