Eiffage has signed a public-private partnership contract for a US$4.7 billion high-speed railway in France.
The contract with rail operator RFF is for a 182km-long line between Le Mans and Rennes. It will be an extension to the 180km route from Paris to Le Mans, which opened in 1989.
There will be about 200 engineered structures on the new route, including 10 viaducts. Contractor Eiffage Rail Express will finance, design, build and maintain the infrastructure for 25 years.
