The contract is with Hyundai Engineering & Construction - SK Engineering & Construction Joint Venture.

The crossing's design includes a 1,408m central span with a 58m-wide deck carrying a two four-lane carriageways and two railway lines in the middle.

The deck will be supported by a hybrid suspension system comprising:

  • - 176 Freyssinet stay cables requiring 8,400t of steel and made up of parallel strands, the longest of which has a length of 588m;
  • - two 2,420m suspension cables holding 34 pairs of vertical hangers supporting the central section of the deck.

Installation of the stay cables will get under way in September 2014 for completion in July 2015.
