The Japan International Cooperation Agency has provided a grant of US$19 million so that the government of the Republic of Honduras can construct a bridge on a key freight link.
National Road No. 6 links the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa with neighbouring country Nicaragua. It runs through a mountainous region where landslides are common. The bridge will improve the road’s resilience and help Honduras to maintain its logistics network during natural disasters.
