A Glasgow footbridge has finally been completed 40 years after construction began.
It has finished by Raynesway Construction under a project with Glasgow City Council and charity Sustrans. The Bridge to Nowhere has now become the Bridge to Everwhere, said Sustrans Scotland director John Lauder.
The Anderston Footbridge crosses the M8 motorway but was left with its end hanging high in the air as a planned shopping centre was never built.
The bridge now provides a link from Kelvingrove Park to the city centre as part of plans to improve cycling access across the city.
