Track laying has also started along the 5.7km new extension. A rail bridge passing over Old Honeypot Road and a road bridge at Lynton Terrace have also been built. Rapid progress is expected to continue with track, station and other infrastructure work planned for the rest of the year, said project director David Bartlett.

"Priorities for coming months include completing the Seaford Road Bridge, placing track along the northern section of the track extension and progressing the modern stations that are being built,&rdquo he said. "We will also continue work on the elevated rail bridge over the Onkaparinga Valley - the community will have started to see this take shape over the valley in recent times.”
