Workers applied 1 million square metres of asphalt to the deck of a double-level cable-stayed suspension bridge over the Yangtze River in Anhui, eastern China.

The G3 Tongling Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge was designed and constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group. It is 12km long and will carry six lanes of highway on the upper deck and four railway lines on the lower. It will open to traffic later this year.
