The signing of a contract for a second international bridge to link Brazil and Paraguay has been delayed following a challenge by an unsuccessful bidder.
The contract for the cable-stayed bridge was due to be signed with the Construbase-Cidade-Paulitec consortium.
Felix Zelaya, the director of Paraguay’s public works ministry, said that there is confidence that the situation will be resolved soon.
Work is now expected to begin in September.
