The secretary of state in the Ministry of Public Works & Transport, Lim Sidenin, has held a meeting with the contractor and other project officials to discuss plans for the groundbreaking ceremony.
The project involves construction of a 1,761m-long bridge together with more than 30km of approach roads to connect National Road 7 to National Road 60B between Kratie City and Prek Prosop District in Kratie Province.
Construction is expected to take about 42 months and will be carried out by Shanghai Construction Group (SCG), with oversight provided by Guangzhou Wanan Construction Supervision Company.
The Ministry of Public Works & Transport said that the work, which is financed by China, is expected to cost US$111.98 million.
