Six people were killed when the bridge collapsed onto a road within a campus of Florida International University (FIU).
Florida Department of Transportation hosted a public meeting yesterday (5 May 2022) to provide an overview of the new design.
It had set out its planned approach for the project in May 2020 (link opens in new tab).
The project cost is an estimated US$15.5 million. Construction is expected to begin in early 2024 and last about two years.
