Finnish and Vietnam engineerrs have worked together on the cable-stayed bridge, whose completion also marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Vietnam.

The bridge, which has a length of 248m and width of 25.5m, provides a link between rural areas and HaiPhong city. It was designed and supervised by a Finnish-Vietnam consortium of Finnroad, WSP Consulting Kortes and Tedi Vietnam.  The main contractor was MT Hojgaard  and Finnish manufacturer Ruukki provided the main steel components for the bridge structure.
