Royal Boskalis Westminster will install 20 sections for the 4,600m-long bridge, which will have a world-record main span of 2,023m.
The company’s floating sheerleg crane Asian Hercules III - one of the few in the world with sufficient outreach - will be deployed for lifting and installing the sections. A Boskalis anchor handling tug (AHT) will provide assistance during the execution of the activities, which will take place in 2021.
Client for the contract is DSLY, which is a consortium of Daelim, SK Group, Limak Holding and Yapi Merkezi.
Boskalis had already been involved in earlier stages of the construction of the bridge. It has worked on installation of the foundations of the bridge pylons and various other lifting and transport operations for steel and concrete bridge elements.
