Knight Architects has joined the Stantec-led design team working on Little Current Swing Bridge, Manitoulin Island, Canada.
The provincial government of Ontario awarded the detailed design contract to Stantec earlier in 2025 (link opens in new tab).
The 1913 structure, which provides just one lane of road access to the island on Lake Huron, will be replaced by a new two-lane swing bridge. The new crossing will have separate lanes for walkers and cyclists.
