The council of the Canadian city of Victoria has approved PCL Constructors Westcoast as the contractor for the replacement of the Johnson Street Bridge.
PCL had been named in November as the preferred contractor.
This week’s council meeting was held in private and the council has not yet released full details of the contract.
The rolling bascule bridge has been designed by Wilkinson Eyre and MMM Group.
