The design is by Ney & Partners, working with landscape architect Eric-Pierre Ménard, civil engineering office Otéis and light designer Scène Publique. A new theatre-front plaza and riverbank park are also being created, to a design by landscape architect Michel Desvignes.
The new footbridge is part of a refurbishment plan for the riverbanks of the Rhône. It will replace an existing bridge that crosses the A7 motorway and will offer improved access to Girodet Island.
