Entries are invited for the annual Engineering Excellence Awards, organised by the UK's Association of Consultancy & Engineering. The awards, which include a category for small, medium and large infrastructure projects, showcase the finest achievements of consultancy and engineering firms and the innovation that makes the industry crucial to local, national and global economies.

The expert judges are bought together from the fields of engineering, architecture, media and academia, as well as from within government. They then evaluate aspects of the projects holistically, but also the less tangible wow factor that a project may have with local communities and the wider public.

The Engineering Excellence Awards break down into three categories:

  • Building Structures (small, medium and large)
  • Building Services (small, medium and large)
  • Infrastructure (small, medium and large)

Two further awards are:

  • Research, Studies and Consulting Award
  • Engineering Ambassador award.

Entries must be submitted by ACE member firms offering consultancy and engineering services. Projects may be anywhere in the world.

Deadline for entries is 28 March 2011
