The design-build teams selected to develop their proposals for the project are:
- Alberici/Parsons;
- American Bridge/Garver;
- Lunda/Figg;
- Massman/HNTB.
The announcement of the shortlist follows the evaluation of the statement of qualifications submitted by potential design-build teams to Missouri and Illinois departments of transportation (MoDOT and IDOT). The bidding process for replacement of the 682m-long truss bridge had begun last month (link opens in new tab).
The request for proposals will be issued to the four teams on 1 March 2017. “We have four very strong teams, and we are excited to work with them to develop their proposals over the next few months,” said Champ Clark Bridge project director Keith Killen. “When the project is awarded at the June 29th Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission meeting, we are certain the proposed bridge design will be something MoDOT and the community will be proud of."
