Austroads has released a tender for a project investigating practical methods of reducing the risk of high vehicle impacts on low overpasses.
The aim of the project is to develop guidelines for asset owners managing low-height structures. It will include identification, quantification, available options, mitigation strategies and decision guidance.
There is also the potential to create a map of Australian bridges and overpasses with a history of strikes.
