The city decided to close the CP Pedestrian Bridge as it is not wide enough to practise social distancing - keeping a distance of at least 2m from others. The pedestrian bridge will remain closed until further notice.
Meanwhile in England, the footpaths on Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge have been made one-way to allow people to keep apart.
