They have approved a resolution supporting the continued pursuit and development of one of the alignment options, Option 4, for the replacement of the existing crossing. Other options had included creating a causeway, which could have carried a rail line.
The resolution adopted by the commissioners instructs the project team to continue working with Texas Department of Transportation and other stakeholders to move the project forward.
